Villa Rosso is an 1884 Victorian home built by Phillipi Cavalero. It is located in the Sierra foothills in Sonora, California. Chuck and Diana purchased the property in 1999. It consisted of an apartment house that contains 4 apartments and the block-wall house up above that Chuck and Diana's daughter, Tonia bought in 2001.
The main apartment house has 3 2-bedroom apartments and 1 1-bedroom apartment; a laundry room and 2 basements. The one basement contains Chuck's workshop and the other is storage for all my antiques and "Ebay" items.
The original house built about 1884 has a dry laid slate foundation that can be seen in both basements. The 2 acres have been divided into 4 parcels now.
One is where Tonia lives, one is the apartments and the largest is where our new home is.
The smallest lot was sold in 2005.
